Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall guitar tab
When I was learning the guitar I used to spend hours trawling sites like the now-defunct OLGA looking the tab to my favourite songs. It was a great way to get to know different guitarist’s styles, and to show off my skillz.
A while ago, Steffen Christensen asked if I had tabbed out any of my songs. I said no. Because I hadn’t.
Now I have, and here it is. My first ever tab. I’m so proud, I could scream like a Ribena berry:
Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall guitar tab v0.1
Download it, print it and share it with your friends. Play along with the video! If you like, you could start a new ring binder. Write “Ben Walker’s songs” on the front with a chunky marker (and on the spine, but smaller). That’s what I’ve done. And get yourself some hole reinforcements while you’re at it. Believe me, there’s nothing worse than turning up to band rehearsal and realising mid-song that the second page of the Layla outro has fallen out of your file.
I must have some kind of notation fever at the moment. On Monday I transcribed the Twitter song chords in 140 characters, and this evening I analysed the first page of Chopin’s Nocturne #12 to figure out how he got from G major to D flat major in 8 bars. If I ever write an album of faux-classical pop (which I sincerely hope I will), I’ll need to know these things.
I didn't tag this post.

Chromatic step to Ebm/Gb, as IVb leading to V, I in Bb major. Widdle around for a bit then repeat in sequence, moving up another minor third to Db.
Brilliant.

Wow! Great info about guitars. I feel if we learn how to play the guitar we’ll be getting physical and emotional benefits in so many ways.
