Lamacq interviews A Silent Film on BBC 6Music

I remember running around a cross-channel ferry with my friend Tim trying to buy a portable radio to listen to Steve Lamacq playing a song called “Only Someone” as his Demo Of The Week. The ferry had been delayed, and we weren’t allowed to get to the cars. So I shelled out £20 on a little radio (and another £5 on batteries) and frantically tuned in to Radio 1 to hear my brother’s band on the radio for the first time. That was Shouting Myke. That was Radio 1. That was at least 5 years ago.

Now Steve Lamacq has discovered another band. Different line-up, different tunes, different vibe, different haircuts and different designer clothes. This time it’s A Silent Film, it’s BBC 6Music and it’s Steve’s New Favourite Band.

Spence and Rob went down to London to talk to Steve, and I (as unofficial president of the ASF fan club) recorded the interview and saved some pictures off the webcam for everyone to enjoy in free time. Oh yeah, then I added some silly captions while I waited for the sound file to upload. ;o)
